Over produced or just enough, what 's next for production.

Updated: Jan 25, 2023

The Pokémon community still seemingly buys packs of cards, boxes and cases just as fast as ever and there is not much of anything behind when the hordes of buyer pick over the shelves. It doesn't matter if the cards are at the high end of the price scale or discounted packs, buyers can't get enough cards. Cards can be found everywhere and but normally nowhere because they sell out. If you're lucky you can find them at Target, Walmart or various other retail stores it's your lucky day, or you can show up and find nothing at all. What are buyers looking for? Do they save any packs, or do they just rip em all? YouTubers and social media influencers can be found ripping packs 24/7 across countless websites. I personally think the demand for cards will drop off and it will cause the market prices of modern cards to plummet. Much like it did with sports cards in the 1980's and 1990's. This is something that has happened before to the GenX generation and more than likely it will happen again if Pokémon doesn't slow down production numbers of cards. Rumor is the price on cards are going up in mid to late 2023. The Pokémon card market is at an all-time high right now and certainly enough people are currently buying cards to keep the momentum going for now. How do we keep the community strong and where do we go from here? We need to keep the community alive through events, clubs and embracing the next generation of collectors. What are your thoughts and what would you like to see in the Pokémon community? The other collectible communities are alive and well. What are they doing that we can do that is not already being done? Pokémon Trainers Universe is on the cusp of making our community better! Join in the conversation and let us know what you think!
