Our journey began with a lifelong love for collecting and a little inspiration from family. After years working in network engineering and cyber security, the founder of TCG Trainers Universe decided to follow his passion and open a collectible card shop in February 2020. What first started with coins, comics, and sports cards quickly changed direction when his son Eric suggested bringing in Pokémon™ cards. That single idea helped shape the future of the business.
The Pokémon™ community welcomed us with open arms. What began as a small in-store display soon grew into one of the most trusted Pokémon™ card shops in Massachusetts, offering collectors access to vintage Pokémon™ cards, graded Pokémon™ cards, rare cards, sealed products, singles, and first-print editions. By the summer of 2025, that growth led TCG Trainers Universe to expand into three locations, each built around helping collectors find the cards that mean the most to them.
At TCG Trainers Universe, we believe collecting Pokémon™ cards is about more than buying and selling. It is about community, nostalgia, and the excitement of discovery. In 2022, we hosted the first-ever Pokémon™-only card shows inside our original store, bringing together local trainers, collectors, and fans to celebrate the hobby. Those events helped inspire larger Pokémon™ trading events across the region and showed just how strong the collecting community can be.
Today, our mission is to be more than just another Pokémon™ card store. TCG Trainers Universe is a disabled veteran-owned business built on integrity, passion, and product knowledge. We are here to help everyone from first-time collectors to advanced hobbyists buy, trade, and grow their Pokémon™ card collections with confidence.
