Start by bringing the cards you would like professionally graded into TCG Trainers Universe during regular business hours. Our staff will review your cards with you, answer any questions you may have, and explain the grading submission process from start to finish.

TCG Trainers Universe accepts submissions for a wide variety of trading cards and collectibles, including Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, sports cards, and more.

Step 2: Card Intake, Logging, and Photography

Once your cards are submitted to TCG Trainers Universe, each card is carefully documented and prepared for submission.

During the intake process, our staff will:

  • Log each card into our submission system
  • Record identifying information and submission details
  • Photograph each card for documentation and security purposes
  • Carefully prepare cards for safe handling and shipment

As part of our preparation process, TCG Trainers Universe will also carefully remove fingerprints and light surface smudges whenever possible to help ensure your cards are presented in the best condition possible before grading. We do not alter or repair cards, but basic surface cleaning and presentation preparation are included with every submission.

Step 3: Choose Your Grading Company and Submission Tier

TCG Trainers Universe will help you choose the grading service and submission tier that best fits your goals, budget, and expected card value.

Different grading companies and submission levels may offer different turnaround times, pricing structures, and grading standards. Our staff can help explain the differences so you can make an informed decision before your cards are submitted.

Step 4: Pay the Estimated Grading Fees Upfront

Pricing may vary depending on the grading company, submission tier, declared card value, and quantity of cards submitted.

Step 5: TCG Trainers Universe Submits Your Cards for Grading

After intake and preparation are complete, TCG Trainers Universe securely packages and submits your cards to the selected grading company for professional evaluation.

Current estimated turnaround times are approximately 4 to 6 months.

Please note that turnaround times are determined by the grading companies themselves and may vary depending on demand, service tier, conventions, holidays, shipping delays, or other external factors.

During the grading process, the grading company will:

  • Authenticate the card
  • Evaluate centering, corners, edges, and surface condition
  • Assign an official grade
  • Encapsulate the card in a tamper-evident protective slab

Step 6: Pickup and Final Payment

Once your graded cards are returned to TCG Trainers Universe, our staff will contact you for pickup.

In some cases, additional charges may apply after grading is completed. This may happen if:

  • A card’s graded value exceeds the original declared value
  • The grading company upgrades the submission tier
  • Additional insurance or shipping costs are required

Any remaining balance is paid when you pick up your graded cards from TCG Trainers Universe.
